Stevens Point– Patricia Holland has been appointed to a second three-year term as chair of the Department of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She began her service as the department’s administrator in 2007.
Holland joined the UWSP faculty in 1994. She teaches courses in applied bassoon and music history.
A native of Ann Arbor, Mich., Holland earned degrees in music at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. She taught at Jackson Community College, Albion College and Hillsdale College before her appointment at UWSP.
Her active performance schedule includes membership in the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra. She performs with various music festivals in the summer, including the Peninsula Music Festival in Door County. Holland also performs with other UWSP faculty in a reed trio called Trio Canna, and has given recitals and master classes throughout the United States.
